Zoe Ouvrier,

Est née en 1975 à Montpellier en France. En 2002, elle sort diplômée de l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris et restera vivre dans la capitale durant vingt-cinq ans.
Depuis novembre 2019, elle vit et travaille à Saint Paul-de-Vence.

Zoé Ouvrier utilise la technique de la gravure pour rendre au contre-plaqué sa nouvelle nature de bois. Elle mêle à cette technique celle de la peinture et du dessin. L’écorce chargée d’empreintes évoque la peau, la vie, la matrice originelle dont la forêt et l’humanité sont faites. Son œuvre donne à voir et à toucher un espace entre nature et texture sous une allure tridimensionnelle.

Zoé Ouvrier aime faire dialoguer les ensembles en mettant en scène le spectateur face à son œuvre.
De ses recherches autour de l’arbre émane tout un rapport à la chair, aux émotions, à la trace. Ce qui fait de son œuvre une matière poétique et sensible. Elle touche ainsi à la vibration émotionnelle en rapport avec la vie-même qui nous entoure, à notre condition et notre place dans notre environnement en tant qu'être humain. Ses arbres nous parlent et nous émeuvent.

Depuis plus de 20 ans, Zoé Ouvrier dénonce le déséquilibre de l’impact humain et de son déracinement. Tout son travail tourne autour de cette sensibilité et d'une possible ouverture vers la liberté.

Dès sa sortie des Beaux-Arts, la presse lui permet d'accéder à une reconnaissance internationale.
Certains collectionneurs lui commandent des œuvres imposantes pour lesquelles Zoé doit intervenir, par exemple, sur les quatre murs d'une même pièce, des œuvres réalisées pour des chambres à coucher ou des salles à manger. Elle invite alors celui qui s’y introduit à voyager dans son tableau, à y écouter la forêt selon les saisons, l'intensité de la faune et le bruit du vent...

Zoé Ouvier was born in 1975 in Montpellier, France. In 2002, she graduates from the Ecole nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris and remains to live for twenty-five years in the French capital.
Since November 2019, she lives and works in Saint Paul-de-Vence.

Zoé Ouvrier uses the technique of engraving to give back to plywood its new nature of wood. She combines this technique with those of painting and drawing. The imprinted bark evokes skin, life, the original matrix of which the forest and humanity are made. Her body of work allows to see and touch a space between nature and texture in a three-dimensional aspect.

Zoé Ouvrier likes to create a dialogue between ensembles by putting the spectator in front of her work.
From her research around the tree arises a whole relationship to the flesh, to emotions, to traces. That is what makes her work poetic and sensitive material. She thus touches the emotional vibration in relation to the very life that surrounds us, to our condition and our place in the environment as human beings. Her trees speak to us and move us.

For more than 20 years, Zoé Ouvrier has denounced the imbalance of the human impact and its uprooting. All her work revolves around this sensitivity and a possible opening towards freedom.

As soon as she graduated from the Beaux-Arts, the press enabled her to gain international recognition.
Some collectors commission Zoé for imposing works for which she must sometimes intervene on the four walls of the same room, like in works created for bedrooms or dining rooms.
She then invites those who enter it to travel through her painting, to listen to the forest according to the seasons, to the intensity of the fauna and the sound of the wind ...
